James A. Chisholm, L.H.R., has worked for Kirk & Teff, LLP since 1993, representing disabled individuals and workers in Social Security Disability (SSDI) and SSI claims, as well as workers' compensation claims. Mr. Chisholm previously worked as claims manager for Reliance Insurance Company from 1984 to 1993, supervising all aspects of personal injury and workers' compensation coverage and claims. Mr. Chisholm graduated from Saint Francis Xavier University, the leading undergraduate institution in Canada, in 1975. He obtained his law degree in 1978 from Dalhousie Law School in Halifax, Nova Scotia. 

Mr. Chisholm is licensed by the Workers' Compensation Board to represent injured workers and is certified to represent Social Security claimants in all applications for benefits, administrative hearings, and appeals to the Social Security Appeals Council. He regularly attends continuing legal education programs sponsored by the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR), in order to stay current on developments in the Social Security law and procedures, and provide the best protection for disabled individuals and their families before the Social Security Administration.
